“In the year 2011, when I went to invite Peter and Paul of P-square to invite them to The Teju Babyface Show, they were very nice and quite cool with being on the show. After praising us for doing a good show so far, they escorted me outside.

Their mom (of blessed memory) was standing outside with a few friends and she was very warm to me as well. And so, in the sight of all of them (Peter, Paul, Jude, their dancers, mom and family), I entered my battered Honda Accord and started saying a silent prayer; ‘This car please do not disgrace me in the presence of these boys with all their Range Rovers, X6 and Hummer’.

And then I turned the ignition on. NOTHING! The silly car refused to start! I tried again and again, nothing! I wanted to enter the ground! So it was with a shamed face that I popped the hood and Peter helped me pull up the bonnet. I grabbed a stone from the ground and knocked the battery head with Paul saying to me ‘do not worry bro, it has happened to all of us’! Thankfully the car started after several bashings to the battery with the stone and I slowly crawled out of their close.”

Since that time Teju Babyface became much richer and owes some of the best cars available in Nigeria today…

The party, in a statement signed by its Acting National Publicity Secretary, Tony Okeke on Sunday described the development as “reminiscent of the infamous decree No. 4 of 1984 promulgated by maximum dictator and supreme leader of the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, with which he clamped down on the freedom of speech and victimized anybody that criticized his government.

So who is better off at work, you or your boss? A Harvard study suggests that it’s your boss because your boss is less stressed. And why is your boss less stressed? It turns out that it is because your boss has control.

The study, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, looked at indicators of stress, including self-reported anxiety and saliva levels of the hormone cortisol and compared them between groups of leaders and non-leaders.

Results showed that leaders had statistically significant lower levels of cortisol and lower anxiety than nonleaders. The study was repeated on a second group with similar results.

The researchers then dug into what led to this lower level of stress in leaders and concluded that a sense of control, specifically to do with being in authority, was the main contributing factor.

Former Nigerian female footballer, Iyabo Abade now living as a man

Former Super Falcons striker Iyabo Abade lived for many years as a hermaphrodite - a person with male and female organ. She/he had surgery in the US in 2004 and is now living as a man named James Johnson. Punch caught up with him recently and he opened up about his life

Now that you are a man, has it been easy playing men’s football?

I thank God for how far He has brought me. I have made every effort to get to the top as a footballer but there is no support from anywhere, even the Nigeria Football Federation. I am just trying on my own to get to the top but it hasn’t been easy. You go for trials and you do well and you are recruited but after sometime, they will start acting funny; they use my past against me. I try to ensure that I don’t let clubs know who I am. I don’t like telling them that I am the former Iyabo Abade; I have to go there like every other normal player and fight for a place in the team. But when they hear that former Iyabo Abade has signed for either Crown FC or Plateau United, they start discriminating against me.

That's an usual colour to wear on your head but Chocolate City first lady of Kenya Victoria Kimani is sure rocking it. That's the Edee Beau hair in purple which goes for about $1,500. Would you rock it?

Joke of the Day- Good Morning

I urgently needed a few days off work, but I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave. I thought that maybe if I acted “CRAZY” then he would tell me to take a few days off. So, I hung upside down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss would think I was “CRAZY” and give me a few days off.
A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked, “What are you doing?”
I told him I was a light bulb.
He said, “You are clearly stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of days.”
I jumped down and walked out of the office.
When my co-worker followed me, the Boss asked her, “And where do you think you’re going?”
She said, “I’m going home too, I can’t work in the dark.

In the ‘new school’ of the Nigerian music industry, only a handful of acts stand out as very unique, original and iconic – Burna Boy is certainly one of the them.

Burna Boy‘s rise to fame and critical acclaim was spurned when his record label made the big move to Lagos in 2012 to promote his first official single, “Like To Party”. Although the song itself didn’t pick up immediately, its music video, which has been copied multiple times over by other artistes, sparked a wildfire that solidifiedBurna Boy‘s place at the top.

Following up his new found fame with more experimental, daring and original hit songs,“Tonight”, “Run My Race” and “Yawa Dey”; spectacular stage performances and exciting collaborations, Burna Boy‘s star continued to go higher.

Looking at her photos she's definitely pretty but how is she too pretty to be a council woman? 27 year old architect Nina Siahkali Moradi finished 14th among 163candidates in a city council election in Iran but was told a week later that all votes for her were nullified.

According to The Times of London, after news spread that Moradi had been elected, religious conservatives petitioned to have her disqualified because she's 'too attractive.' and would be a cause of distraction. "We don’t want a catwalk model on the council," a senior official in Qazvin said.

The review board later claimed Nina was disqualified not because she was too attractive but because of her 'non-observance of Islamic codes'. Some who opposed her election said she had only been elected because she is young and attractive.

A law expert in Qazvin, told Iran Wire that the review board violated election law with its decision to bar Moradi from taking a seat.

Can a woman be barred for being too beautiful in Nigeria. What can even happen to them by our Big men in the Office. No be me talk am Ooo!!!

A message to all single ladies - from Charly Boy

If you're a single lady...this message is for you from Mr Charles OputaAll the single ladies reading this, chin-up and give your good self a thumb up. Nothing doest thou. Last week I had a father/daughter discussion with my Princess. I could feel the frustration in her tone as we spoke about different issues. When I asked about her boyfriend she gave me a very long and irritated “Naija babe” hiss, she aired out her frustrations with this whole dating business. "Daddy we are no longer dating." “I’m so very sorry my love, but what happened I queried,” very anxious to hear the gist, cause me and my Princess are just that close. This is my daughter’s 3rd boyfriend since she started dating, and she has only been with him for barely 6months… "Daddy, please I’m tired, he is not ambitious, he has no drive, and he is too laid back for his own good, how can I marry a man like that? To make matters worse, he thinks I am overly ambitious, he says I do way too much – please tell me how that’s a bad thing.” Hummmmm, my daughter, my princess my pride and joy is unhappy.
